statuesque.

I’m ashamed to say that after almost 2 years of living in Arizona, neither me or the hubs had ever seen downtown Phoenix.  We ventured over there on Saturday night, and it was ironically a ghost town.  Seriously, for a city as large as Phoenix on a weekend night, there was almost nobody around and nothing going on.  I did get to meet the city’s surprisingly large array of naked dancing statues, so there’s a plus.  But other than that we got bored in about 20 minutes and skedaddled out of there and on to our reservation at The Melting Pot.  Mmmmmmm.  I love date night.
Do you want to know a secret?  Those jeans I’m wearing are kids jeans… yep.  Miss Me makes little girl jeans, and do you know what?  They fit me.  Ha. ha.  Sad thing is, I still had to have the hem taken up.  Ah, the life of a shorty…

Why did the city approve a bunch of nude statues dancing around smack dab in the middle of downtown?

Seriously? How did that pose seem like a good idea?

Alright, I can sympathize with this one, but only a little!  I mean, who doesn’t want to play the flute naked?

How it worked:  Since I don’t have to worry about doing anything mom related on our dates, I usually wear heels.  These are fabulous because they come with lovely little buckles that keep them nestled securely to my feet, the heels aren’t too high– so no sore feet, and you can’t beat a good grey shoe.  My top was flowy and comfortable, my cardigan kept me warm, and both masked my overly bloated fondue belly post-meal quite nicely.  I did realize once I saw myself in these pictures that my purse is, in fact, too large for my miniature frame.  DANG IT!  I love big purses.
