So I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding this fall and I need some help. The bride is letting us pick out our own bridesmaid dresses (bless her) so we can pick out something that fits our style/body type etc. and that we really love. She has given us some (very lovely) color/style inspo. Sounds fabulous right? Dream bridesmaid gig. Yadi, yadi… Except. I. CANNOT. FIND. A. DRESS.
The biggest problem is finding something in the right color family (think jewel berry tones) that’s also modest enough for my religious standards (think at least short sleeves, no low cut front or low back and at least knee length). The bride would prefer a maxi length too, but it’s really up to us.
Guys, I thought I knew every single dress website there was to know (even ones no one knows about) but I cannot find a suitable dress. Help!
Anyone have any ideas? If you’ve seen a gorgeous berry colored dress somewhere on the internet, or have a go-to website I would really, really appreciate the help. (So would my sisters/cousins/friends who can’t find dresses either.)
If I can’t find the right dress, I’ll probably end up dyeing one but I would rather not, I’m also considering adding sleeves to a sleeveless dress or layering, but again I would just rather find the right dress than have to jimmy-rig something.
I love this dress. But it’s sleeveless and has a big cutout in the back.

Monsoon is always the go to for beautiful dresses in the UK. Depending on how petite you are you may be able to fit into the girls’ sizes as they tend to run big. Hope you find the perfect dress!

I was in a wedding in June and the bride let us pick the dress, but she selected the brand.
Dress 921 could work (can order in various lengths) if you pair with one of these two jackets: T052 or T052. The dress and jacket are both available in various colors (many in the color palette you need). Good luck!
This is lovely and with the many ways to wear those long flowy strap/sleeve pieces, you could fashion a nice cap sleeve. You could even really sew on an elbow sleeve with the fabric if you wanted.

Its largely over priced for a bridesmade dress, but I’m sure you could find another like it.
Also, think outside the box of “Dress Shops”. Like J.Crew for example offers bridal lines that may offer things in jewel tones with the new season approaching.

I always look at Ebay and Poshmark for wedding attire…cause you never know…Maybe even a bridal or formal shop around you might have something hanging around…
This is not purple and you’d have to add extra hooks or a zipper and close up the back, but probably the easiest option when the next sale comes along. If it isn’t still too revealing.

From the inspiration board, it looks like she’d really like the bridesmaids in full-length, fairly traditional bridesmaid dresses. Maybe go with the old standby David’s Bridal. It might not be fashion-forward, but their dresses would fit right in with those pinterest boards and you can sort by length, color, and sleeve type.
