polka-dot.

Skirt: Forever 21.  Top: Banana Republic.  Shoes: Guess.  Sunnies: Loft.  Lips: MAC Russian Red.

A quick hello today as I am feeling under the weather.  Long story short, little #2 spent yesterday ill, which meant I spent the day nursing him back to health.  Unfortunately, my maternity weakened immune system has now retaliated.
These are the not so glamorous moments of motherhood.
It makes me grateful for the days when I can wear really high heels, a twirly skirt and bright red lipstick.
 (ie. Sundays.  To church.)
And I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that I’m going to get really puffy over the next 4 months and there’s really nothing more I can do about it.  (Besides what I’m already doing.  Eating healthy, drinking water, exercising, etc.)  It’s unfortunate, but inevitable.  At least there’s an end to it, and that end involves a baby.

I say this out of love and a place of deep-though-distant blogger respect… it’s nice to have a partner in prenatal puff.

Could you do a post about your exercise (maybe when pregnant and not)? I always wonder what women’s routines are. I’m also quite short and have to exercise regularly, and I’m not expecting my first baby and I’m just curious what you do. Thanks!

  11. yep, and it’s totally worth it. I dreaded the gain but it went almost all the way away without a huge fight since I breastfed. I suppose I could have stopped with all that ice cream to get it completely off now that I think about it. Love the skirt and bump.

I exercise now but I’m not pregnant. I walk/run on the tread mill, get on the elliptical, and lift hand weights. I would like to know what you do for exercise when you’re pregnant.

You look lovely as always, but I feel for you with the puffy thing – apparently tomatoes have natural properties to reduce bloating and I found putting my feet up each day around 3pm really helped the cankle situation (although that.s not always easy with a toddler).
