Do you know what was the very best thing about this weekend?  I unplugged.  Instead of falling into the social media time-suck, I dejunked my boys rooms, went to the movies, visited family, read, went shopping, hung out with Craig, ate bad BBQ and laughed about it.  It was really really perfect.  I think this whole social media world we live in has taught us to be kind of half-there in every situation and you really are cheating yourself.  I mean, Instagram isn’t that interesting.  And I sort of rediscovered how awesome my real life really is this weekend.  I love the people around me.  They are dynamic and interesting, and really fun.  Especially Craig.  He’s the best thing ever.

Happy Monday everyone.  Be Present.

Couldn’t agree more! My friends and family laugh at how disconnected I am with social media (and pretty much all things technically-based). But, honestly?!? There is more to life than Instagram…and don’t get me started on my thoughts about Twitter! ;)

  2. 1st – Super-cute outfit. I finally bought booties this weekend but I’m still working on the boyfriend jeans.

2nd – I did the same thing this weekend. I didn’t blog, didn’t tweet, didn’t comment on anyone else’s blog and it felt wonderful! I need to do it more often.

  4. I unplugged last week and it was fabulous! I took a one week blogging break and took no pictures and barely checked FB or Instagram and the funny thing is….I barely missed it!

I would love to do that for a weekend. Unplugging is nearly impossible since social media management is my job. Someday! Love the outfit darling!

loving it – the whole thing. We are so dependent these days on social media and it can be so wonderful (case in point, your blog!) but it is also so lovely to completely disconnect and be present in your own life. Everyone deserves to feel like the leading lady in their own life!

    Hi Cori,

You look lovely in this sweater. I wanted to know how is the sweater holding up? I had bought this but it started piling even before wearing so I had to return it. Not sure if there was problem with that particular piece. I want to order again, so wanted to know.
    Thanks!

Oh wow, can’t believe that happened! I haven’t had any trouble with mine. I’ve washed it twice and it still looks brand new.
