It’s been awhile since I made something just for myself to wear, and it was really nice to get back into it again.  I love pretty a-line skirts in the summer.  Well, I love them year round, but especially in the summer when I can throw them on with a pair of sandals or ballet flats or dress them up with heels.

Just in case you’re sewing inclined… I found this fabric at Joann’s in the home fabric department, a hidden gem for great clothing textiles.  (Don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t make a skirt out of pillow fabric.  They’re lying. ;-)) Its a bit pricey, but you only need about a yard and a half to make the skirt, so not bad.

If you don’t sew, no fear.  I’ve included lots of similar skirts below.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.  Come back tomorrow morning for all the best weekend sales.

I am in LOVE with that skirt! It’s super cute :D The first thing I did was scroll down to see where you got it. I’m not the best at sewing but I’m so in love with that print on a skirt that I might give it a shot. I even looked up the fabric on Joann’s website and found it’s half off! You are looking gorgeous as always Cori!

I bought a pair of blush pink pants yesterday and I’m pretty sure it’s your fault! I’ve been going back through your posts because I’m about to be in the pacific northwest area for work and I’m still trying to figure what to wear – it’s a big difference coming from the gulf coast! So I have some brand new work pants (in springy colors) to mix in with dresses, so hopefully I don’t freeze too much!

Pretty pattern for sure. Feel free to discuss the thyroid problem you mentioned in a previous post. Some of us who are around your age may be facing similar issues and may be a little concerned.
