It’s peach season guys!  This literally is my favorite thing about August.  It’s warm during the day, cool in the evenings and peaches are in season!  Peach ice cream, peach pie, peach lemonade, peach cobbler…  Can you tell that food is my love language??

Okay, I’ll stop.

Anyway, I took my kids peach picking last week at the prettiest orchard I have ever seen.  We drove up on a warm Wednesday and picked 17 pounds of juicy delicious peaches.

You know what I love about new England?  How much history there is everywhere I go.  I mean, I took my kids to peach picking at a working farm that’s been around for 275 years.   I swear Lyman Orchards has to be one of the prettiest places I have ever been, and I love that the same family has been running it the entire time.   Even my kids kept going on and on about how cool it all was, how pretty the rolling hills covered in orchards were, how cute the Apple Barrel store was.  And once again, in another way, we’ve all fallen in love with New England.

It was a golden sunny afternoon, hot and humid just like you expect it to be on the East Coast, so I wore this pretty new linen dress from Abercrombie.  Linen dresses forever guys; perfect summer staple.  And this one was perfectly breezy for the outing.

My kids go back to school in a week, and I’m glad I get to keep this memory from the last few days of summer in my pocket all year long.
