monochromatic cozy: outfit inspiration.

Hunter boots. Boot Liners. Brooklyn Sweatshirt. Jeans. Puffer coats here, here, and here. Pom Beanie. Tory Burch bag.

As I was saying earlier last week, I am all about outfits that really work for the current weather.  I love a good monochromatic pairing, I think it elevates any look, even a casual one.  I thought this cozy outfit would be perfect for a day out running errands in the slushy snow or rain.  As a side note, Hunter boots are not warm in the snow, the rubber conducts the cold like you wouldn’t believe, but adding the boot liners is extremely effective and turns them into cozy boots.  Although I would still recommend a good pair of sorels if you’re going to go tromping through the snow, adding boot liners to these Hunters does the trick for wearing them out and about.  (Also, if you are petite, I recommend the kids version.  They look exactly the same and the shaft height is a much better fit.  Boots and liners here.)

I’ve had sweatshirts on the brain lately, there are so many ways to style them up a bit and I love pairing them with boots and a puffer coat for a sporty stylish statement.  And my mantra this time of year seems to be put a pom beanie on it.  So of course, I had to…

Happy Wednesday everyone.  We’ve got another snow day, (it’s our 3rd since we got back from the holidays) so it looks as if my children will be in school until the middle of summer.  ;-)
