what I wore last week.

It’s been almost 3 years since I started shifting heavily towards a capsule based wardrobe, totally revamped my closet and changed the way I got dressed and shopped. When I look back now, I have no idea how I used to put outfits together before everything was so streamlined. I think getting dressed must have been much, much harder, and I can’t even remember how I did it. Getting dressed and ready for the day has been important to me and to my mental health my whole life, and I’m so glad I tapped into a truly easy and joyful way of doing it.

Anyway, this is why I share my outfits everyday with you guys. I hope it gives you ideas you can refer back to and inspires you to show up for your life each day. And in that spirit, I’m going to start sharing everything I’ve worn from the week before on Monday’s over here so that you can easily access them (rather than having them disappear after 24 hours from my instagram stories). I hope this is even more helpful for you all.

I’ve got a busy but exciting week ahead. We’ve a big launch I have been working on for awhile later this week, and I cannot wait to share what we’ve been cooking up for you. I’ve been working on a makeover of our breakfast nook the last couple weeks. So far I have refinished a vintage table, sourced an amazing set of Windsor dining chairs from Facebook Marketplace, and re-trimmed the windows and door. This week, I’ll be painting everything and replacing the light fixture (so excited about the light I ordered for the space). Make sure and come back later this week, because I’ll be sharing the whole space with you!

We’ve had a very chilly couple days here in New England but no snow. Boo. We have a bunch of snow in the forecast and I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed that it pans out! I’m one of those crazy people that LOVE snow, the more the better, as far as I’m concerned it can stick around until spring! If you find yourself struggling through the winter months, read what I wrote about how to thrive through winter here.

My kids are officially half way through their school year, still attending in person and in masks. I am amazed everyday when they get on the bus just how resilient they all are. I can hardly stand wearing a mask long enough to get through the grocery store, so I don’t know how they do it, but they don’t even complain. I wrote about helping your kids develop resilience here.

Okay, here’s everything I wore last week, I’ve got buttons on every image so you can pin any ideas for later reference. Also, check out my mom outfits, and capsule wardrobe Pinterest boards for lots of outfit ideas!
