my favorite places to find affordable vintage kilim pillows.

One of my favorite design trends of the last couple years has been incorporating vintage textiles into a space. Especially gorgeous kilim throw pillows. Kilim pillows are made from upcycled hand-woven vintage Anatolian kilims, hand-knotted rug fragments or ikat fabrics and they add so much great character and texture to a space.

Kilim pillows, when found at antique shows and in boutiques can be quite expensive, running anywhere from the mid-$100’s-$300 range, but I have found some great affordable options that are really beautiful, can add tons of character to a space and won’t break the bank. I just added a couple new kilim pillows to our guest bedroom so I thought it was a good day to share my favorite places to find affordable vintage kilim pillows.

The best place, hands down, to find affordable vintage kilim pillows is Etsy. Where these can run in the hundreds, on Etsy you can find thousands of beautiful authentically vintage options ranging from the the teens-mid-$50’s range. The quality has been great on every pillow I’ve ordered and the shipping was reasonable and fast as well. There are a ton of shops for kilim pillows and I recommend browsing around if you have something specific in mind. My two favorite shops are Sebil Pillows, and Hemp Home Decor. Sebil carries great floral rug pillows, and Hemp Home Decor has the best striped kilim pillows that I’ve found.

There are tons of options to choose from, which can feel a bit overwhelming honestly, so I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites below. They’re all beautiful, affordable and will add a lovely pop to a living or bedroom.

I hope you found this helpful! For one of my next projects, I’d love to try upholstering an ottoman in a vintage kilim rug and I’m happy to report that Etsy is also a great place to find those as well. I’ll keep you posted on that project!

I’ve never heard of those pillows before. They have a lot of character. I’ll have to check out the ottomans.

I purchased the Mango dress you featured recently, and I’ve found that it is kind of see-through. Do you have a recommendation for an undergarment to wear with it?

I buy mine from amazon! I usually get inserts that are the same size or an inch or two bigger so they stay fluffy!

This look is beautiful! The colors are magnificent. What color is the bed? Also, where did you source that lovely little lamp? I love the shade especially! Thank you!
