Okay, a few take-aways from my in-store/online experience with the Nordstrom Anniversary sale yesterday.
First, stuff is selling fast so if you see something you like, don’t wait! I did on a moto jacket I was going to order last night (that I tried on in store yesterday) but I went to bed thinking I would just order it this morning and now the color I wanted is gone! Like completely, as if it never even was! Waaaaah. Moral of the story. If you see something you love. Snatch it up fast. This one’s going to haunt me for years.
Second, don’t even bother shopping the shoe section in store. You’ll have to wait like 2 hours for them to fit you in and they don’t have nearly the selection and size range in store as they do online. Like for instance, NONE of the stores in my area (and there are a lot of Nordstroms around here) have any of the shoes I wanted to grab in stock in my size. Life of a shorty. Plus, its a zoo. But man, go browse the shoe offerings online because they are so good this year. I ordered these flats (just what I was looking for!) and these booties.
The leather/ faux jacket game is strong this year guys. If you want one, take your pick. Price range, color, size… there are so many great options. Speaking of jackets, if you’re wanting to grab a winter coat this year, the selection is way better online than in store. Just saying.
If you haven’t, you really should go to your local Nordstrom, and shop the sale in person (even if you aren’t buying). There’s a really fun energy and the all the people working it were super sweet. Plus, it made me so, so excited for fall. Eeeek!

I love this jacket so much. If I didn’t already have a cognac leather jacket I would have bought this one. And this shell is so cute. Jeans had amazing distressing.

This lace top, you guys. It might be my favorite thing I bought yesterday. It’s the cutest thing ever.

The front pockets are perfect and the fit is so good. This is my favorite color to wear in the fall.
Okay, this is the jacket I am still crying over. Why didn’t I just buy it yesterday?!?!?! It’s still available in oxblood, but I already have a moto jacket in that color. I’ll be stocking Nordstrom’s website in case it comes back in stock.
I thought I was buying this jacket for sure when I saw it online, and I love the fit, but it wasn’t as dark of a green as I was looking for, so I passed. It comes in black too and it’s gorgeous, but I already have a black leather jacket…
Arms fit slim, love the small cut.
I love this striped top and it comes in XXS so the fit is great for us shorties.
This drapey top comes in a bunch of colors and it’s a perfect everyday basic.
Okay this sweater is so much better in person, they carry it in XXS and it comes in a bunch of different colors.
These jeans are really similar to this pair, but the wash is way better, and they are softer and way more comfortable with a little bit of stretch. Also. These are technically skinny jeans. I went up 1 size to get the boyfriend fit and I am obsessed. I’ve been wearing a lot of skinny jeans lately, but I always come back to a boyfriend fit because they are my forever favorite.
I’m posting this picture again so you can see the distressing a little better on the jeans. It’s so good, and works fine even if you’re short like me.

I have a feeling a lot of your picks will not be available come Friday when the sale opens up to everyone else. I don’t have a Nordstrom anywhere near me and I think we only have 2 or 3 in the whole country- I’m in Canada. So online it is. I’ll check out a few of these picks on Friday hoping some of them are left.
