Happy Valentine’s day everyone! Last weekend I called for reservations at this really great Italian place Craig and I ate at when we were here on our house hunting trip in December. And by last weekend they were already booked for the whole Valentine’s evening. Whoops. I guess a reservation for 6 on love day was asking a bit much… So since we’ll have all the kids with us this evening, we’re going to find the most non-Valentiney restaurant, and save our special V-day dinner at the Italian place for another night.

Speaking of love… have I mentioned my undying affection for this blazer yet? Oh my goodness. I’m so glad I stalked J.Crew’s website relentlessly for 2 weeks until it came back in stock in my size. It is such a great addition to my closet. (It’s on sale, BTW) And since I’m still living out of a suitcase, (until we move into our house at the end of February) it’s been a lifesaver when it comes to remixing. Seriously, why did it take me this long to get a tan blazer? It’s the most versatile piece ever. I love this one because it’s lightweight but not flimsy, and it’s one of those magic pieces that keeps you warm but never makes you hot. I don’t even know how they pull that off.
