If you follow me on instagram, you already know that I chopped off my hair last Thursday, and lightened it up.  So obviously these were shot before that happened.  I thought when I circled back to post this photo shoot I might have a tinge of remorse about nixing my long hair, but honestly, I have zero regrets.  I seriously love it.  Since I usually hate my hair for the first week after it’s cut (even just a trim) I’m taking this as a sign that I either A. am getting older and therefore more mature about committing to things, or B. finally found a stylist that I really truly like.  It’s probably a little of both.

Do you know when you find something and it just feels like it was meant to be?  That’s basically what happened with these pants.  I ran to the mall the other day, just to return a shirt that didn’t fit, and then I decided on a whim to pop into Loft on my way out and low and behold there were these amazing button culottes.  I tried to act cool and casual about them, but I basically grabbed them as fast as I possibly could and hightailed it into the dressing room.  I didn’t have fantastically high hopes, since being so petite I have a hard time getting culottes to fit me, but these were perfect.  I’m talking like a glove.  Even Ava was like, “Oh mom, I love the buttons!”  You know the pants are good when you’re 4-year-old takes notice.

The moral of the story is, Loft is on point this season, you should definitely check out some of their new arrivals.  (Plus they keep having really, really great sales.)
