Earlier this week I shared this awesome long Madewell Kent cardigan (in the color nutmeg) and I got a ton of messages asking me if I could pretty please share some ideas for styling it. Pumpkin spice seems to be a tricky color for lots of people to figure out how to style, so I happily put some outfits together and shared them over on my instastories yesterday. It was so fun and I got such a huge response, I thought I would put the outfits over here, so you can keep getting ideas from them, even after the stories disappear later today.
Pumpkin spice or burnt orange is one of my favorite colors to wear in the fall, and I had a ton of fun styling this gorgeous sweater from Madewell lots of different ways. Ironically, the more I styled it, the more ideas I got for styling it, but I capped it off at 8. So if you have a piece in your closet that your having a little trouble figuring out how to wear, schedule out some time to try it out with a bunch of different things in your closet. Creativity begets creativity.
I tried to style the cardigan with mostly pieces from my capsule foundation and pieces that I have shared frequently here so you’re likely to already have them in your closet. And just as a general rule, when I’m deciding whether or not to purchase something, I try to think of at least 4-6 different ways I can wear it with pieces I already have in my closet.
All the items I styled with here are attached to the link below each picture and if you have any questions about size, fit, etc. on any of the pieces go ahead and ask in the comments and I’m be sure and answer.

Obsessed with all these outfits!! I have a question though, I know you’re petite and short, I am too but I’m a little more curvier than you are but 5’2″ do you think the Levi’s would work for me? And was the length good for you or did you have to hem them?
