Paper-bag pants: so provincial. Top. Shoes. Hat. Necklace. Lipstick(color: snob).
Last week we had a little taste of spring when it was in the 50’s and 60’s for a few days, and it was glorious. We’ve had a kind of disappointing winter so far, lots of cold and virtually no snow (boo), so I didn’t mind having a few days of spring like weather, where the kids and I could go out in the pasture and have a picnic or just play with the goats and chickens for awhile without even needing a coat. It’s supposed to snow tomorrow (fingers crossed that we actually get enough accumulation to make it fun) but I did so enjoy our little taste of spring before winter part 2 commences.

Speaking of winter! We are heading to Quebec this weekend for the winter carnival and I am literally bursting at the seams I’m so excited. We haven’t really traveled at all since I got back from California in September and at that point I was really wanting to stay home and work on house projects and the property for a few months (especially after being gone basically the entire summer). But I have been getting the travel itch bad for the last month or so, and I am so excited to explore Quebec City, do all the fun winter things, and let the kids practice their French some more.
Have you been to Quebec? Tell me your favorite things to do, places to eat, etc. etc. I’m planning all the things this week!

Also, speaking of spring. These cute striped paper-bag waist pants just hit the shop this morning, and I am seriously in love with them. I hemmed mine up a bit (cause #shorty) but they are super perfect for the spring and summer months. Lightweight and comfortable, with a classic stripe and a super flattering paper-bag waist.
