Don’t you feel like the 4th kind of lasts through all of July? Just last night, I was sitting in our living room talking to Craig, and BOOM! Someone lights off a firework. And it was like, “of course you did,” because it’s 4th of July month. I’ve been looking forward to July all year, because like everyone else, I love summer and celebrating our nation’s birth, but mostly because it means I get to have the “Nantucket” page of my illustrated “travel America” calendar up all month long. That page is my very favorite, it’s kind of a big deal. All this to say, our 4th was fantastic, it involved fresh fruit and fireworks, lemonade, and drives in the country in Mr’s new (to him) Vintage British sports car. Hashtag: summerforever
I love pulling out all the stripes this time of year, they feel so appropriate. I mean, let’s be real, I wear stripes year round without blinking, but July is the quintessential strip-ed month. I’m also a real sucker for mixing prints, especially prints of the summer variety, gingham, florals and stripes…swoon.
