takin a break.

Several of you have asked where the shop went for the last several weeks, and I’m happy to report that it’s open again!  You can click on the tab on the header right up there ^^^^ or find it right here.

We are cleaning house, so every single piece I have left in stock is in there, and everything is way, way marked down. (All sales are final)  It will be open from today (Friday 8/7), through next Friday (8/14) at midnight, then we’re closing it up again and I’m taking a few months off from the clothing line.  (Sizes are already selling out quick so hurry over!)

I’ll still be blogging here daily, and doing some other things as well, but I won’t be selling any new pieces for a little while.

I’ve had such a great time for the last three (well more like four) years working on this line, but I’m a little exhausted, if we’re being honest.  Running a clothing line, and being a mom of four full time, is really hard work, and I’ve gotten a little burned out in the last six months.  When I’m burned out, my creativity well just dries right up, and I feel like I can’t give my best to this line.  I don’t want to give you less than my best.

So I’m setting it down for a while.  Taking a sabbatical, if you will.  I tend to drive myself into the ground way too much, but I think there’s a lot of value in taking a break in life.

 I’m working on a fun new project with my husband (I can’t wait to show you what it is), I’m probably never going to quit this blog (it’s too fun), and mostly, I’m enjoying time with my kids, enjoying this beautiful city we live in, and waiting for the inspiration to come back again.

I can’t thank you all enough for having my back and supporting me for the last several years as I pursued this dream.  All the kindness, the sales, the emails, the pictures you’ve sent, they’ve meant more to me than you’ll ever know.  The world.
