why my neighbor thinks I’m the grinch.

Shirts: Forever21.  Pants: Target.  Puffer Vest: Aeropostale.  Shoes: TOMS via Nordstroms.

A little Christmas story for you.

Once upon a time (yesterday night), I was going to a Christmas party at my church in which I was in charge of decorating.

I searched high and low all day for a couple strands of white Christmas lights, but to no avail.  Everywhere is sold out this close to Christmas.  Go figure.  So when I got home I had a stroke of brilliance.  Just before leaving, I ran out to the front yard and stripped 3 strands off of some of our bushes.  When I was done I turned around and my neighbor across the street was standing on his driveway, staring at me.

“You’re really killing the Christmas spirit, huh?” (Joking, I think)

“Oh, no.” I called back.  “I just need to use them for something.”

Nevermind, no time for an explanation.

Fast forward 10 minutes.

I emerge from the garage with an entire decorated Christmas tree, (which I was also using for the party) open up the back of my Honda Pilot, turn the tree on it’s side and shove it in.  Then I slam the hatch shut.

I turn around.

Neighbor is still standing on his driveway across the street, staring at me.

Awkward.

ok can i just say “thank you”?!?!!!! my husband makes fun (not really makes fun, but kind of rolls his eyes) when i say “yesterday night.” (apparently it’s a misnomer? and should be “last night”?) he says no one else in the world says that! ….now proven wrong…… ;)
