Black Turtleneck: Target. (similar here as well.) Faux Fur Vest: ZARA kids. ( sold out. similar here.) Jeans: Hudson. Booties: Target. (last year, similar here.) Bag: Ivanka Trump. (similar here and here.) Belt: Old. (similar here.)

When the whole faux fur trend started a few years back I wasn’t exactly on board, but it pretty much grew on me, and when I found this faux fur waistcoat at Zara kids, I knew the time had come to fully embrace the trend.  Funnily enough, I’ve actually had trouble styling this piece, which I didn’t really think would happen when I ordered it.  But, I realize sometimes the more “out there” trends are a little harder with practical application.  Everything I tried felt off and I have a strict policy with myself that if I put on an outfit and feel meh about it, I change, otherwise it bothers me all day.  I decided to try a pair of bootcut jeans and a black turtleneck sweater, and then belt the waistcoat this time and I really liked the way it turned out.  It felt like me.  That got me thinking about other ways to style fur pieces, here are a few more ideas in case you’re stuck in a rut like I was:

Jeans, Sweater, Vest, Booties.

Leggings, Blouse, Vest, Boots.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Enjoy the weekend!

Cori, please stop with your chic-ness. ;)
I love this outfit. I’ve had a faux fur vest for a few years that I’ve struggled to style. Thank you for the great ideas!

I love this entire look! I love putting a simple layer underneath to really let the vest and belt pop. Its a gloriously subtle statement that just looks amazing!

I’m still not completely on board with the fur trend but I am definitely warming up to it. And with how cold it’s been, I could get even more on board. These fur pieces all look so warm!

Thanks for sharing. Maybe I’ll try some faux fur pieces now.

It took me awhile to come on board. Mostly because I thought that the fur looked itchy, and sort of medieval, if you know what I mean, but I’ve really warmed up to it in the past few years.

  6. Ooo! I love the belted look. I’ve been struggling to find versatile looks with my fur as well. I end up throwing it over a sweater and skinnies or leggings most often. This is a subtle twist that I’ll have to try! Thanks doll – have a good weekend!
