So, it looks like we’re slowly heading into frappaccino season. I’m kind of a snob about my hot chocolate (I’m really specific about the way I make it) so I’m never super inclined to head to Starbucks for one, but their double-chocolate chip frappaccino? That’s another story. And I don’t know why, but every time I order a drink I feel inclined to spell my name for the person helping me. “What’s your name?” They ask me, and I’m all, “It’s Cori, with an I,” in a very Anne of Green Gables kind of way. Why do I feel inclined to spell my name out? Does it really matter if they spell it with a Y? (or an EY, or an IE, or an RRIE.-pretty much anything but how it’s actually spelled), probably not. But for some OCD reason I always want it written with an I.
Whenever I want to really feel taller, I dress all in one color. Do I actually look taller in real life? I’m guessing not, but psychology…
Also, the cognac was kind of an afterthought on this outfit because it was just too chilly to be out without a jacket the other day, and this one is my favorite. In retrospect, I’m getting a kind of Indiana Jones vibe with the hat and everything, and I’m not sure that’s a good thing. Although, Indiana was pretty bad-a so, you know. We’re good.

Okay seriously, another post I could have written. I ALWAYS feel like I have to spell my name (it’s Tami, with an ‘i’ …. Not ‘mmy’, because I already don’t love my name but I like it even less spelled the traditional way). Totally OCD about it, it shouldn’t matter but it does. On another note though, the cognac with the all black? Perfect. As per usual.
I totally hear you on the correct spelling of your name! I’m Rebekah with one K. No one ever knows how to spell it. I always get “Rebecca” or “Rebekka’ but never “Rebekah.”
I love your booties! They are so simple, yet perfect and being vertically challenged myself I think they’re the perfect thing to help give you some height while still being functional!
I don’t think it’s OCD to want your name spelled correctly.. it is your NAME after all ;)

I like the neutrals together, and I don’t think you have too much of an Indiana Jones vibe going. :) I can understand your pain with the name spelling. Mine is Anna, which you would think would be hard to mess up- but it’s not impossible- Ann, Anne, Ana, Andi, Is that Annabelle? I’ve mostly just become used to it. C’est la vie!
I love the black and cognac together! I always feel like it looks great on others, but then when I try it I just look mismatched.
Also, my baby’s name is Cori too! It never clicked until just now, haha… duh. She’s named after her daddy. :) He used to go by Cory when he was a kid but we like Cori better for her. It doesn’t bother my husband when people spell it wrong, but it really bothers me.
