Once upon a time, (early 2000’s) I used to laugh with my friends about this hideous shoe trend we all looooved about 6-7 years previous. Oh, we laughed and mocked our mid 90’s selves. Then a few years later (mid 2000’s), we laughed again at another trend (which we were still wearing early 2000’s) that involved pants with a bib and buckles. How juvenile we were to actually walk around in those. We swore them off. Never, ever again.
Then low and behold, 2015. And here I am in overalls and birks, because when you commit to a full-on 90’s revival, you go all the way.
Never say never.
Especially in fashion.
(you know, if birks and overalls can even be called that…)
;-)
(ps. juuuust in case you were wondering, both pieces are just as comfortable as they look, if not more so, and these are the least expensive I’ve been able to find Birkenstocks anywhere, and believe me, I’ve turned the web upside down…)
shop the look:
Yup! :P
Shall We Sasa
I said NEVER to birkenstocks because they are just so ugly (I think) lol.
You look cool girl and so Seattle-like haha

Love me some birks. I finally threw my high school pair away last year because mold had grown all over them in my humid (Virginia) closet. oops. I love these: http://www.6pm.com/birkenstock-catania-by-papillio-metallic-silver-leather And their cheap!
I never had a pair of Birks in my life, and there were def the thing in my time. I have no interest in getting them now, but they look good on you. Overalls, however…particularly shortalls…I’m all about. Not sure I would wear them out shopping though. Well maybe the capri ones like you have.
Remember the Doc Martin slides? Yeah, I had knockoffs of those from AE that I was all about. Still very 90s…
