You guys. It poured all weekend. My poor little trick-or-treaters only last half an hour and they were so wet to the bone they asked us if they could go home. There were maybe 5 kids that came to our door for candy. So glad I spend $40 on sweets, for all the trick-or-treaters that didn’t come. LOL.
It’s November now! I feel like it’s now actually appropriate for me to sing Christmas songs to myself while i do the dishes. (but let’s be real, that’s been happening for a few weeks.)
Even though we have almost a month before it’s even Thanksgiving, I’m already starting to plan my table settings and centerpieces in my head, and also what I’m going to wear, because those are the fun parts of the holidays, dressing up and dressing up my table. (I mean, I like baking and cooking all day as much as the next mom…) But my favorite part is the little touch I can give a holiday that makes it feel just really special.
I usually wear a dress on holidays because, well, it’s me and I love any excuse to wear a dress (or full skirt for that matter) but I love the idea of putting on a dressy jumpsuit for a more formal occasion. It’s a little surprising, and I love doing something surprising just about as much as I love wearing a dress. This one is perfect for the holidays because the rich burgundy color works well and feels festive without being too over-the-top Christmas red.
It can be tricky to figure out how to wear a jumpsuit, but the great thing about this one is that it can be dressed up so easily, just by throwing on a pair of heels and a clutch with a little sparkle around my neck, like I did here for date night last weekend. Plus, it’s so comfy. It felt like I was in silk pajamas all evening. I shied away from jumpsuits for a long time because I’m so petite I thought I couldn’t really wear them, but I think if you get the proportions right, just about any one can wear just about any style. Also, monochromatic looks are supposed to make you look taller and what’s more monochrome than a jumpsuit? I took the hem up on the legs of these because there weren’t any petite sizes online when I ordered it, and then low-and-behold I went on just now and they have it in petites! Luckily, I’m totally happy with the fit but I sure wouldn’t have minded avoiding at least one less hem job…
Story of my life…
So would you swap out your typical formal wear for a jumpsuit?

Love the leopard! So cute. i love this more comfy and casual look for thanksgiving dinner for a change too.
I’m glad I’m not the only one singing Christmas songs already….my daughter has been asking me to play her Christmas CD in the car for the last few weeks! Love the look!
Beautiful! Is this jumpsuit still available? Woul appreciate a reply. Thanks.
