Sweater: Loft. Jeans: Nordstrom. Booties: Nordstrom. Bag: Forever21. (swoon worthy splurge here.) Scarf: ASOS. Hat: Target. (similar here and here.)
It has rained basically every day for the last I can’t even remember how many days. (Yeah, I know, I live in Seattle…) When it gets like this all I want to do is wear all the cozy things all the time. And eat soup, and drink cocoa, and read books and bake bread… you get the gist.
That also means, sweaters.
Lots and lots of cozy sweaters. Getting dressed in the fall is such a no-brainer, don’t you think? It’s chilly? Throw on a cozy sweater, some classic booties, (or Hunter’s, riding boots, sorels, etc.) some distressed denim, add a plaid scarf, a slouchy hat, maybe a leather bomber, or a puffer vest, and you’re all set.
There are so many gorgeous cozy sweaters available this fall, it’s practically a dream come true for my preppy heart. I was downtown last week for a meeting at Nordstrom’s flagship and afternoon, I decided to take a walk through the rainy city. I was popping into some of my favorites and everywhere I looked were gorgeous cozy sweaters. (see some of my favorites below) But when I stepped into Loft and locked eyes on this dreamy taupe knit, I was a goner.
Just the color taupe I’ve been searching for. Such a soft cable knit. Not the least bit scratchy, a little slouchy (I went up one size for a little more roomy fit). Well, I brought it home and wore it immediately the next day; imagine my delight, it held it’s shape beautifully the entire day. Anyway, I could go on, but this sweater goes with everything (it’s like it was made to match these booties), including this lovely plaid scarf, and it’s on sale right now for $35 dollars.
How do you stay cozy in the fall?
ps. come back tomorrow because I’m going to show you my new secret weapon for fighting fall’s frizzy hair… it’s so good.

Shall We Sasa
Yeah, it is all wet out and your hair doesn’t look it at all! How’d you do that?
Hi Corilynn! I just discovered your blog and am so glad I did. I too live in Seattle! (Well, technically Lynnwood, but close enough ;) You are SO speaking my language with the ways you like to stay cozy during the rainy times. I would add consuming ridiculous amounts of tea and baked goods to my list. :) Love your blog and look forward to reading more!
