Crop pants: Gap (on sale!) Top: Target. (similar polka dot top here and here.) Shoes: similar here. Bag: Michael Kors. (similar here.)
Here’s a little throwback to Dallas for you on this lovely Thursday. I fell in love with these white cropped pants the moment I saw them. I’m not sure what it was, they’re just so flowy and dreamy. I ordered them in petite, because let’s be real, cropped just isn’t cropped on me… It’s like ankle length, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the petite length was right on point for me.
I’m no hater of dresses, quite the opposite actually, but sometimes when I need to be a little dressier I just don’t feel like wearing a dress. The problem is, I kind of blank on what I actually should wear. Especially in the summer, because who wants to wear long slacks when it’s hot outside? Not me, that’s who.
Should you be in the same dilemma, might I suggest these pants as an alternative?
I love these wide-leg cropped pants because they can be dressed up and down, they’re summery, and lightweight, and cool enough to wear comfortably through all the hottest summer months. I’m not a lover of shorts, (especially since mine have to be knee length and that’s just not flattering on my frame) so these are a great alternative. Fair warning though, they wrinkle super easy…
Well, this week has been a whirlwind of laundry and running around trying to get caught up on work, errands, groceries, my house and kids… Last night when I was feeling a little overwhelmed/defeated my husband reminded me that in the last two weeks I’ve only been home a total of like 3 1/2 days. That made me feel a bit better. No wonder I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off.
Anyway, here’s to a calmer finish to the week and an extra relaxing weekend.
Who am I kidding. I’m a mom, there’s no such thing as a weekend.
