fall trend alert: olive green.

The fall is by far my favorite time of year to get dressed, and not just because of the layers. (although, hand me all the layers, please and thank you) It’s also because I love fall colors. Since I have autumn coloring, they work best for me, and I love the deep earthy and rich jewel tones that come out about the time the leaves start to change. One of my all-time favorite shades to wear is olive green. I am all about all things olive this season, and it’s really such a perfect color for transitioning from summer to fall. It works beautifully as a neutral and looks good on so many skin tones. And I can’t wait to incorporate a little more camo this fall… (aka Olive’s favorite way to show off)

For this outfit, I kept it fairly simple and casual for a hot day in the city with my kids last week. But I love that it’s so easy to add layers to this dress, (think a leather or denim jacket, and a scarf with booties) or just leave as is with a pair of sandals and a cross body bag.
