I can’t believe how fast September has flown by, but here we are with only three days left in the month. I feel like before we know it, it’ll be Christmas again and then boom. Another year will have gone by in a flash. Seriously. Is it just me or is this year flying by?

Now that it is officially the “best season of all,” lets talk some fall trends shall we? One of my favorites this year is mustard. Oh my goodness, I had a real weakness for this color several years ago. I mean way back to my early days of blogging. I even had a pair of mustard jeans. (don’t judge, they were in style, okay.) Anyway, I’d forgotten how pretty and versatile this color can be, but I was thrilled when I found this pretty mustard moto jacket, because it will be so much fun to wear this season, and it’s one of the big trends this year.

One of the things I love about mustard, is that it pairs really well with a lot of different colors. Besides looking good with the typical navy and black, it looks really pretty paired with blush pink (I’m definitely going to be pairing this jacket with my blush micro pleat skirt), and it also looks great with mint, gray and even oxblood and orchid mix well with the shade. (Steer clear of straight red though, we don’t want to look like condiments.)

If the trend intimidates you, consider adding it to your closet by way of accessories, a small mustard cross body bag or a mustard scarf will add a fun pop to an outfit without being too much to bite off. I love a great mustard sweater, and I’d like to add a pretty one to my closet this year, as well as this gorgeous dress. (I mean those pleats are just on a whole different level.)
