"according to night at the museum…"

On Friday I took my boys to the Arizona Museum of Natural History.  Did you know that we have one of those down here?  Well, now you do.  It was field trip day at Carter’s preschool, and he was pretty excited.  Ethan was too.  We geared up by watching both Night at the Museum movies, but unfortunately nothing came to life while we were there.  Bummer.  Then I made my husband laugh hysterically later when I began an actual sentence with “According to ‘Night at the Museum’…”  His response: “I’m pretty sure any statement that begins with “according to Night at the museum,” you can just assume is false.”  Huh, well, yeah I guess so.  On the bright side I found possibly the cutest barber shop across the street with an actual vintage bike leaning against the pole.  I wish I was a guy so I could go in there and meet Jerry.  I would tell him that his sign is awesome.  And possibly have my hair cut.  Can girls go to barber shops?  I’m not up on salon etiquette.  The biggest treat, however was the fact that the world’s cutest barber shop is parked next to the world’s cutest flower shop.  It’s called…(wait for it) Zuzu’s Petals.  I’ve died and gone to vintage heaven.
PS. My favorite movie in the whole wide world is “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
PSS. Speaking of Vintage.  Come back tomorrow to see the fabulous 60 year old beauty I wore to church today…
ah, just where I like them…

  2. Cori, I almost started to cry when I read the title of the flower shop… I knew exactly what movie it was from. LOVE LOVE LOVE… some people just carry so much style and grace in what they do, I hope I can be that in half of what I produce in this life.
PS “Night at the Museum” story… hilarious. Oh how I miss my Arizona sister.
