at last.

Pants: Anthropologie, Cardigan: Target, Embellished Shirt: The Loft, Under shirt: Downeast basics, Brooch: Bought at a local Boutique, Ballet Flats: Target, Earrings: Payless??, Necklace with my babies’ names on it: The Vintage Pearl.
I bought these pants about a year and a half ago, and I’ve maybe worn them a handful of times.  I have this little issue with being too matchy-match. There is something in my head that makes me feel like I have to “match perfectly.”  Sometimes too perfectly, as in “it looks stupid.”  So I always felt like I needed to wear a brown top with these pants, because well they have brown on them, and I never really found a brown top that worked. (I don’t love brown tops anyway)  And then as I lay in bed this morning it came to me.  At last.  Ah, that’s it.  My mustard yellow cardigan.  The beloved mustard yellow cardigan.   It never occurred to me before and then there it was. The soft cool mint color and the warm burnt yellow.  Mmmmm, I don’t know why I love it but I do.

These pants, however, I still have an issue with.  I suspected that they might be a little off, but the camera confirmed it.  They are a little big, even at a size zero.  And I think the nifty medallions on them play a nice little trick on my legs.  They make them look short.  Oh wait, they just make it more apparent that they are extremely short.  And the round pattern, eh maybe not so much…  anyways, these pants may be my baine, but I’m not ready to hang them up for good yet.
Speaking of At Last, you simply must check out this video.  It’s my little sister Megs (who is the cutest little new mommy you’ve ever seen) singing, At Last.  And let me tell you, this girl has some pipes.  You will not be sorry.
Come back later, and I’ll show you all how I fixed a major issue with little shoesies.  Peace. Out.
