Shirt: Made by me. Cardi: Old Navy (kids section-shhh.)Cropped trousers: Old Navy. Jewelry: Target. Shoes: Famous Footwear. |
Remember the shirt from this post? Did you just click that link? I thought you might. Anyways, I’m in love with it. In fact I love it so much that I decided I wanted to copy it and make one in the same style. I found this lovely swooshy cream colored fabric in Walmart’s fabric section for a dollar a yard, brought it home and whipped up a shirt. But it was boring. So it sat on the bed in my mom cave for a few days. The other night after I finished up Hannah’s easter frock (seriously you are going to die, it’s so cute) I was cleaning up and it hit me. It needed a little ruffle action. I literally added this little tuxedo ruffle in about ten minutes. And you know what, it makes the shirt. I should have known. Everything is better with ruffles.
Does this count as breaking my “I will never wear a single piece of clothing from Walmart” mantra? Because technically it wasn’t clothing when I bought it.
love the outfit! and as a petite thing myself, i may or may not have also bought clothes from the kids section a time or two …
