happiness is…

A Farmer’s Market.
Top, Sunglasses: The Loft.  Cut-off Jorts: Macy’s (cut-off by me).  Sandals: Ross.

There’s nothing I love more than a great farmer’s market.  Just ask my sisters.  It’s kind of an obsession.
Honey sticks.

The flower row.
Makes me wish I wasn’t living in a hotel right now, so I could bring a big bushel of these home with me.
If I only had a vase…. sigh.

 Rainier Cherries.
 Cut-off jorts.  Summer.

Live music by aging men in Hawaiian shirts singing Bob Marley.
There really is nothing better.

Dear Issaquah,

Your farmer’s market is magic.  And the fact that it runs April-Oct. is bananas.  No pun intended.  And also, you are just about the most picturesque little city I have ever seen.  Your main street is classic, the caboose-turned-barber-shop makes me die, and you’re nestled in the middle of two gorgeous mountains. I’ve died and gone to Cori heaven.
This. is. love.

Yay! Seattle is a really fantastic place for farmer’s markets. If you have the chance, I highly suggest you check out the Ballard market. It would be a bit of a drive for you if you’re staying in Issaquah, but you can make an event out of it by checking out the Ballard Locks and fish ladder too!

I have a couple questions for you! How far apart in age are your kids? I have 2 so far that are 14 months apart and we are considering having another one but??? Yikes!
ALso, what do you do to stay so trim? You look fabulous. certainly not like you have 3 kids recently. Any diet tips?

I love farmer’s markets. My husband always rolls his eyes when I try to drag him to another, I go that often. And honey sticks! The first time I had them was at Pike Place Market. So good!

Emily- haha! I can’t believe you guys were there on Sat. too! You probably made it there way before us. It took us forever to get out of the house (hotel) on Sat. We should hang out soon!

N- thanks for the tip! I don’t mind driving. I love exploring a new place. I want to experience it all.

New petite- I had no idea there was a concert. Bummer. Sounds like fun.

Monica- I wish my hair always looked perfect. That would be awesome. You don’t want to see what happens to me when it rains. But I do fix it every day, and it’s super thick.

Hanna- First off, thank you! You totally made my day. To answer your questions: My first two kids are 15 months apart. It is really close, but it didn’t feel overwhelmingly crazy until we had our third. My only advice is take your time on the third, cause that’s when everything gets insane. Our 3rd was a total surprise and came about 6 months earlier than we were ready. Life can be like that…

Thank you for saying I am trim. That made me feel so great! Here’s what I do, and it’s works well for me. First, I have nursed all my babies which whisks the baby weight off like a dream (plus I love it;-)). I also watch what I eat, keep (semi) track of my calories, just so I don’t go overboard without realizing it, and I eat whole wheat, (bread, pasta, tortillas, etc) lots of veggies, and nonfat milk. I still enjoy sweets but I try to limit myself. And I work out. I do Pilates, run and ride my bike. But mostly, I do Insanity by Beach Body. Shawn T is a genius. The key for me is only eating when I’m hungry, taking my time so I don’t over eat, and exercising. Basically eat less, move more. But believe me, I still have a ways to go!
