Or me, waking up this morning and putting on my yellow cardigan instead of the mint colored one I had planned on, and then finding out that it also happened to be everybody, everywear today.
The topic of choice?
Yellow.
Serendipity.
My dad loved the word serendipitous growing up, and liked to use it every time we were having a gleeful family moment by happenstance. So if we were driving up to Applehill to cut a Christmas tree, and none of us were fighting (rare with 5 girls) and we were all singing carols at the top of our lungs, Dad would turn around from his perch at the front of the big brown cow, er–Astro van, a look of pure glee on his face and say,
“Girls, this is a serendipitous moment.”
Classic.
It’s kind of our family word.
I’m sure you can see why.
Maybe it’s the stripes, maybe it’s the mustard cardi, but this outfit SINGS to me! I love it!!

My name is saren, which comes from the word serendipity. My parents changed the spelling to make it look more like it sounds I guess. Being the 5th child in my family, I was very unexpected as they thought they were done, I guess my coming to this world was very serendipitous:) anyways enough of my rant.
