The good thing about living in a hotel, is that we can walk down to Pike Place, the aquarium, um shopping(!), restaurants, etc… and the kids love walking through the city. Coincidentally, so do I. The bad thing is, it means that when we are not out walking the city, me and the littles are stuffed into a hotel room going stir crazy, and I have to use the coin laundry. I don’t love using coin laundry. It takes me back to our college days, it takes forever, and I always seem to be one quarter short of finishing all my loads. It really makes me miss my brand new, high efficiency washer and dryer, which are sitting in my laundry room in Arizona.
I realize that these colors are all wrong for summer, but yesterday was a little cold and a little rainy, so I wore my red trench coat, and all black underneath. I am so goth. Don’t I just scream goth? Also, check out my new thrifted bag. I know, it’s striped! Also, it’s from J Crew, and looks like it’s never even been used. Plus I can fit all my mom junk in it plus my camera. I found the most awesomest thrift store ever on Mercer Island. Lucky me. I love meeting people who are in the know…

It sounds like you have a really nice life and a wonderful, healthy family. You are very fortunate that you get to be a part of this wonderful adventure and that your husbands company pays for it and is allowing it to happen. Maybe you should do some self reflection about the coin laundry and being cooped up. A lot of people would wish for all of your other wonderful life experiences.
Honestly, I wish it were cold and rainy right now…today was 103 degrees and now after a winter of complaining, I’ve decided I’d rather be cold than hot and faint!!! Love red on you!!

Super cute outfit! And I can totally relate to the coin laundry — whenever I am on vacation, I never seem to have enough quarters to do laundry :) My kids get stir crazy in hotel rooms also, but glad you are able to get out and explore the city.
