bip and bop giveaway.

Today, I want to tell you about Bip and Bop.

First of all.  That name.  It’s just cute.  Don’t you just love a cute name?

When the delightful Nicole contacted me about her shop I was excited.  First of all she’s from Sacramento, and anyone from Sac-town is automatically going to be fabulous, ahem, right? 

(I’m from Sac-town)

But then I went to check out her shop.  And,

 oh. my. goodness.



I fell in love.  

There was something so classic, so uniquely rare about her stuff, and I couldn’t put my finger on what it was.

For probably 20 minutes I sat clickity-clicking through her shop, picking up my laptop and holding the screen right up to my face so I could see the items closer, until finally it hit me.

Texture.



In a market flooded with silk, she’s branched out into a collection of the most delectable textured embellishments I have ever seen.

Her shop just sings texture.



And I love it.

Large Gray Chrysanthemum Necklace



The large gray chrysanthemum necklace.  I want this to adorn my neck… every girl needs a good statement necklace… and you know I’m a sucker for gray, but it comes in orange too…



Felt hydrangea headband




The felt hydrangea headband.  I would buy this baby and wear it about eight different ways in my hair, then pin it to my lapel as a brooch, (can you see it? it would be so fabulous)  You know what I love most about this one?  The intricate little flowers, all hand sewn to perfection.  Plus, hydrangeas were my wedding flower, and we all know how sentimental Cori can get.

Another favorite: these babies.  Don’t they just feel like fall?  They are lovely enough to stand alone, but would be fabulous worn together.  I’m picturing them nestled happily into a delicate side-swept chignon.  Something like this perhaps:

Leopard print bobby pins

Leopard print bobby pins.  Need I say more?

And last, the pièce de résistance.  My ultimate favorite:
Wool felt rose lace headband with french netting

I’m in love with this piece on so many different levels.  It’s scary.  Okay first.  The color.  Burnt orange, are you kidding me?  So fabulously fall, why don’t I have more of this color in my closet?  Second. The intricate design of the petals, the perfect construction.  As someone who sews (constantly) I can appreciate this kind of workmanship.  Third.  The lace!  It’s just so fabulously vintage.  And finally, the french netting.  This is the touch that just seals the whole look for me; that just takes it to a whole other level.  I know I should be picturing this on Hannah’s little gorgeous head, but all I can see it on is mine, paired with my funky new pencil skirt (you’ll be seeing this soon), patterned tights, and my vintage shoes.  Not that I’ve given this much thought… 



I could go one for days (and it seems I have) about Bip and Bop, or I could just get to the goods…
