Sometimes I feel like I should have been born in a different era.
Dress: Old Navy. Cardi: Downeast Basics. Shoes: c/o Cents of Style. Necklace: The Loft. Tights: Ross??
One where they wore silk dresses and shoes with buckles, and hats, and tights with a seam in the back and carried handkerchiefs instead of tissues, and women were ladies.
lol………my hubby and I always joke how we belong in that era too! I loved all of the outfits that Ally wore in the Notebook, I would love to dress like that! :)
I say the same thing all.the.time. A time when family was the most important and the woman was home to raise the family! Oh, and to be able to wear all of the pretty clothes too!
I totally agree too! What beautiful clothes they wore-so ladylike. I saw your packing post a week or so ago and totally bought those shoes-you are my new style icon :) Mainly because I have three little kids too and Iike to feel put together and you have mastered the art of dressing cute AND functional!
I bought those shoes after seeing your post about Cents of Style. I just got them in the other day and LOVE them. Haven’t had a chance to wear them yet but I can’t wait! And they were sooooo inexpensive.
I always say I was born in the wrong era too. Somewhere in about 1930 is where I’d want to be! Love the dress and shoes! You look adorable in everything!
I think you’re speaking for a lot of us, Cori! Love the forties, but I would want to go ALL the way back to the Roaring Twenties – hot jazz music, brilliant literature, and a fashion revolution for women. Love those flapper dresses! Thanks for keeping things beautiful!!
So cute!
I completely agree, especially with the reality tv!
I still carry hankerchiefs . . . secret present to myself right there. I don’t know anyone else that does!
Gorgeous!! I totally agree, I wish I were born back when everything was so much simpler!
This is a beautiful outfit! I absolutely adore those shoes! And I often wish I was born in another era as well!!
I totally agree! Love this ladylike look! Especially the shoes!
Luv this look. Take me with you. Lol
