door to nowhere.

Boyfriend jeans: Gap.  Polka dot blouse: Dior. Sweater/scarf: Old Navy.  Jacket: The Loft.  Tights: Ross.  Shoes: Target.

I’m so glad I figured out to start wearing tights under my boyfriend jeans.  I genuinely thought I wouldn’t be able to wear these pants until April, which would be a travesty because these babies are a new favorite.
Look how resourceful I am.  Go me.
So there’s a place in downtown Issaquah with a large blue door to nowhere.
It was a gift from Issaquah’s sister city, which is some name I can’t remember in Morocco.
Just because they went with such a fantastic color blue and the door is so big and beautiful, I decided Moroccans are pretty much the bomb.
Plus the hair oil is awesome.
That’s all it takes to be cool in my book, a nice color door and good hair oil.
It’s such a lovely bright spot right in the middle Issaquah; in the middle of a gray, dreary, rainy day it just filled me with cheerful thoughts.
I wonder if whoever built it was intending that reaction.
Something tells me maybe they were.
It made me wonder a little about the mark I’m leaving on the world.  I hope it’s a cheerful one.  One that makes life a little more beautiful, a little brighter.
If for no other reason than to brighten the scenery.
Like that door to nowhere.

I love the thought of the seattle area, but get depressed here in Utah when we have too many gloomy days in a row. How do you cope? Especially having just lived in sunny Az?

Nice interview. Honestly, I was a little jarred to learn you aren’t the absolutely perfect person you seemed to be, but I guess that is ok. ;) I really like what you said about your husband. I love when people value and appreciate those who are as truly good as he.
