argyle.

Sweater: J.Crew. Button-up: Loft.  Skirt: H&M.  Belt: Thrifted.  Flats/Ring: Target.  Necklace: JCPenney. Bag: Ross.

It’s been a really long time since I wore anything argyle.  I kind of forgot how preppy and awesome it is.  It also kind of reminds me of Alicia Silverstone in Clueless.  I’m not even sure if she wears any argyle in that movie, but it seems like something she would wear, with those knee high socks and baby doll heels.  Remember knee high socks?  (Shudder.)

Anyways, I’m getting my hair done tonight.  You know, the really expensive keratin treatment that keeps me from looking like a poodle every time it rains.  It’s been 4 1/2 months so it’s time.  Plus I have a lot of split ends, and I’m starting to have granola hair.  You know, when it gets so long that you look like one of “those” girls who never cut their hair, and also don’t wear deodorant or shave their legs.  Yes, it’s time for a trim.

Can I just say that I’m really glad I married Mr.  I have a hard time (don’t ask me why) spending money getting my hair done.  Like a really hard time.  I dealt with frizzy hair for years, years(!) after I knew about keratin treatments before I took the plunge last November.  I don’t know why, but I feel vain and selfish every time I pay for a hair cut.  Like, if I was worth my salt I would be cutting my own hair in front of the mirror at home.  I know, it’s completely ridiculous.  This is why I’m grateful for Mr. because he’s not just okay with me going to the salon, he reminds me to go, encourages it.  Tells me to have more done.  Like he’s been saying that I should go get my hair done again for 2 months, and I’ve been the one putting it off.  I’m not sure, but I think it’s supposed to be the other way around.

All I can say is, it’s a good thing it’s not, or this mop would never get cut.

And it’d get all granola up in here.

I told you, Mr. buys my chairs.

  1. The argyle with the stripes is so cute and preppy! I really want to get the Keratin treatment done, but I don’t know if I can justify spending that much on my hair either!

I LOVE the coral belt peeking out from under your sweater. =) I feel exactly the same about getting my hair done…it nice that your hubby encourages it. Once my hubby and I talked about why he was fine with it too….now of I could just find time to go get it cut…argh!
