I always liked lemons.

Button-up: J Crew.  Striped shirt: J Crew Factory.  Boyfriend Crops: Gap.  Bag: Thrifted.  Necklaces: Ross, Thrifted.  Watch: NY&Co.

Do you remember all those awkward pamphlets and classroom discussions during middle school about puberty and “your changing body?”

I’m saying this is in theory, when I was in middle school all I wanted was a changing body.

(Late-bloomer.)

Anyways,  I feel like that’s what it’s like every morning standing in front of my closet.

How the H do I dress my changing body?

What’s going to fit, what’s not going to fit and do I want to look pregnant or just chubby?

Because really, right now those are the only two options.

But, I tell you what, I am so glad I bought these pants back in February.  The cost-per-wear has got to be down around 30 cents or something like that by now, because I wear them all the time.  And I’m thanking my lucky stars that the waist was big when I got them, because now it fits juuuuust fine.

(You can still get them here.)

And I once heard Stacy London say that you should never wear red and yellow together so as to avoid looking like condiments or Ronald McDonald.  I guess I’m breaking all kinds of rules right here.

What a rebel am I.

ps.  We had a little baby scare earlier this week, which I will tell you all about later, but I’m 14 weeks, and apparently this munchkin is now the size of a lemon.

I always liked lemons.

  1. The condiment thing totally cracked me up. For the record, I think you look adorable and nothing like ketchup and mustard :)

I think the condiment thing has more to do with the primary color shades. The bag seems muted enough to not make me think McDonalds. You have successfully made me want a yellow bag now!

I don’t think you look like a condiment at all! Great look. I pray that all is well with your lemon sized baby!

I love the way red and yellow look together. I think it depends on the shade of yellow, really. And what the outfit is. Poo on Stacy London! You look great!
