look, I’m blooming!
So spring FINALLY decided to make an appearance in the PNW.
All I can say is thank goodness.
First off, because I really wanted to wear these pastel pants and they’re about 2 weeks away from not fitting anymore.
And secondly, our yard really needed some TLC. The back in particular had become a jungle and since it decided to rain non-stop for the last month, the grass has been a swamp, and completely un-mowable until yesterday.
This is one of those things I never even thought about before moving to Seattle.
Growing up in California, you sort of live outside 90% of the year, and I had forgotten how much I missed fresh air and the smell of plants until we were working in the yard last night. Is it weird to say that I actually love working in the yard? The littles were in heaven pulling weeds and finding worms. Carter kept showing me how dirty his hands were getting while saying “And I’m not even crying about it.”
Good buddy, I’m glad you don’t cry over dirty hands.
Being outside in the sunshine with the sound of lawnmowers buzzing all over the neighborhood made Monday feel like the weekend, and I am not complaining about that.
Speaking of the weekend…
Did anyone see The Avengers?
We didn’t.
But I heard it made like 200 gazillion dollars last weekend alone, so apparently we’re the only ones.
Also, I heard it was actually good.
Like really good.
Which makes me kind of excited to see it.
And then I realize that all this comic book movie propaganda that they’ve been shoving at us for the last 7 years is actually starting to work.
I’ve been indoctrinated.
But seriously.
I think I’m most excited to see Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk.
This excites me for a couple reasons.
One, because I love Mark Ruffalo. How can you not love that guy, and the way he sort of talks all shyly out of the side of his mouth? I just want to give him a hug or something. (Please tell me I’m not alone in this.)
And also because I heard that he’s really good as the Hulk and I thought that was impossible.
You know, someone being good as the Hulk.
Anyways, spring and superheroes.
That’s about it.
ps.
If you’ve been fancying one of my skirts for Mother’s day, make sure to order by today (tomorrow at the latest) so I can get it to you before Sunday.
Your pants are from GAP KIDS?! I think I need a pair!
It was gorgeous last night, for sure! The kids played outside until right before bed. I too love yard work. I’m a master weed puller.:) I do wish I had more time for that right now! Love the pastels! You look amazing and so cute with your little belly! Glad you got to wear your cute pants!
Mo, I remember you saying that on Sunday. Gee, why would you not have time?? Your yard is supper bananas though. And the back is already looking amazing with the seed. Sometime we should get together and pull weeds. And I’m not even kidding.
That was supposed to be super not supper. Hahaha.
I love that you are petite enough to wear pants from Gap Kids.
Cheers to good weather in the PNW!

So glad the weather was accommodating to you wearing your pastels before your baby bump out grew them. :)
You are not alone, we did not see Avengers either. Well some of us didn’t but one of us did and he said it was really good and here is something you will like to know…I was looking at a poll for people who had seen the movie to say who their favorite character in the movie was and most of what I read was either Iron Man or, are you ready…THE HULK! I love Mark too so I am equally as excited to see how he plays the Hulk. From the sounds of the poll comments he must do pretty well.
Oh and from a native PNWester…sorry about the soggy back yard. ;)
So good to hear that.
If you liked Ironman, you will probably like Avengers. The audience kept laughing over the easy jokes. I ordered one of your skirts and I love it. The quality of the fabric and stitching is better than the big chain stores.
Michelle, I am so glad that you love your skirt! Quality is very important to me. Thanks!
Loving this outfit! You are the cutest pregnant gal ever!

I LOVE Mark Ruffalo!! Omg… I wanted to snuggle with him all the way up until he turned into The Hulk. Then I just wanted to give him a high five. :)
This is perhaps the best thing I have read, ever. The entire comment just makes me happy.
I have a serious celeb crush on Mark Ruffalo. Basically if he’s in it, I’ll watch it. He’s just too cute!
Cori, I was totally in Seattle over the weekend. My sister lives in Lynnwood. I wish I had time to see you (It’s been way too long!). I was only there for 3 days, though, and we had a girls weekend with all my sisters and my mama, packed full of touristy things. Seattle is beautiful!! And it was actually sunny and gorgeous for two of the days that we were there! So glad that you finally got to mow the lawn. And I’m going to see the Avengers too. I don’t think I’ve congratulated you yet on your baby, either, but I am excited for you and baby number 4!!
LOVE the outfit – i saw some mint green pants at H&M yesterday and i may have to bite after seeing how someone styles them. :)
You look lovely! The pants look so good on you!
I love {and am sorta jealous} that your pants are Gap Kids. I have been searching high and low for mint denim, for a reasonable dollar. You’re looking cute as ever with that baby bump your sporting :)
I think some people have found them at H&M if that helps.
I saw mint denim at Target today. But not in my size. :( You might want to check there!
LOVE your cute springy outfit and your baby bump!!! :)
mark ruffalo nailed it as bruce banner. you look amazing, and glowing in your bloom. xox P
i want your pants!!! so stinkin cute.
ugh, I just love that outfit. so soft and pretty. I’m excited because I totally found some mint jeans thrifting a few weeks back! They are definitely my new favorite.
What are those big fat red flowers in your yard? gorgeous.
Thanks girl! Those flowers are tulips. My fave.
Love mint colored pants right now! I just bought a pair of capris this weekend! And your baby bump is so cute! Is this your first child?

Beautiful as always. :) I am dying to get one of your skirts. Maybe one day soon.
We saw it – it was AWESOME!! ANd I don’t even like movies that much! I love Mark too. Love your mint pants- I just got some at Target yesterday, can’t wait to sport them!
So cute! So excited for you and your little-one-to-come!
Mark Ruffalo is adorable. He just seems like the guy who’d live next door and drive you to school and hang out at your house. And I love your pastel outfit.
Cute outfit! I did not see the movie, but my sister did. She said the movie was great, but I needed to see the individual superhero movies first before seeing it. I’m not exactly sure what this means, but I will be contacting my nephew to get the list. Also, Mark Ruffalo is great. P.S. I got a pair of those cute blue and white striped wedges at Target the other day….LOVE.
Awe you look so great! How far are you now? I am wishing we could get some of that nice warm weather. I was just visiting family in Florida and Ohio and got spoiled by the sunshine, now that I’m back in the UK it’s been a bit gloomy. Hoping I can get some of those rays my way so I can bust out my pastel!
