Awning skirt: by me. Get the adult version here. Cardi, Blouse: Old navy. Shoes: Ross. Tights: Target. |
Of all the people who have been supportive of me starting my own little indie clothing line, the two who have undoubtedly been my biggest cheerleaders are Mr. and Hannah.
I’ve never seen a child her age get so excited for something their mom is working on.
But she loves to come and hang out in my work room with me, she leaves me notes on my pinboard, and gushes over every new design.
I believe I’ve mentioned before that I don’t deserve my daughter.
So when I found out she had her 2nd grade concert coming up, I told her I would make her something pretty to wear.
Hannah really loves the awning skirt.
I guess she must be my daughter because she’s got a thing for stripes too.
Anyways, I didn’t tell her what I was going to make her, but Wednesday night after they were all asleep, I stayed up and fashioned a little mini awning skirt for her. Then I left it on the chair at her desk so it would be the first thing she saw when she woke up.
You should have seen how excited she was.
And you should have seen how cute she looked standing on those risers, the shortest kid in the second grade, singing her little heart out, those curls bouncing up and down, swinging her little hips side to side.
I really love being her mom.
She is adorable and is rocking in the awning skirt! I love that she looks so much like you.
she looked super cute
This might be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! You should definitely sell the kids version in your shop!
Something I would love to do someday…
What a little cutie! You should sell little skirts… I’d buy at least 2 for mine and 4 for my sis-in-law and another 1 for my other sis-in-law ans… you get the picture!
this is ADORABLE! i hope some day my kids love me as much and yours love you.
So cute! You should take some mother-daughter pics of both of you in awning skirts. :)
She is SO cute!
I agree with Carrie… a little mother/daughter photo shoot in matching skirts would be precious. :)

Okay she is just divine! Love a little girl who loves to get dressed up. Too bad my 3 girlies hate it :( I guess it is karma in some way because I love it so much :P Great job on the skirt too – perfection!

Hannah is a beautiful little girl, and I can only imagine how wonderful she looked in her program. :) She is so blessed to have you as a mommy, and you are such a good mommy to your littles. Love her skirt!! My 5yo daughter would love having something her size similar to something I had that she liked, too. LOVE your blog!
