I bought these pants a few months ago, and because every pair of pants I own need to be shortened before I can wear them, I promptly took them up to my sewing room and left them there.
For 2 months.
I kept seeing them every time I went in to work on something and would tell myself that I didn’t have time to hem them. Then the other night, I remembered that it takes me approximately 6 minutes to hem a pair of pants, start to finish. Really, Cori? You can’t find 6 extra minutes somewhere in your day?
Six whole minutes, I just can’t fit that in.
So I stopped being an idiot, sat down and hemmed the pants. Which it turns out only took about 5 minutes. Then I squeezed myself into them and wished I had hemmed them sooner.
You know, before I started looking pregnant in my legs.
Speaking of being pregnant, this was too great not to share:
I brought home 3D pictures from my ultrasound yesterday and the picture is amazing. So I’m showing them to the boys this morning, and I’m thinking they are thinking these pictures of the baby are as amazing and beautiful as I am because they are all excited looking at the baby’s head and arms and hands. And then Carter looks at me and goes:
“It kinda looks like Voldemort! You know, from Harry Potter?”
I would love to know how you hem your pants. I’m petite (4 11 3/4) and I hate that I have to hem pants all of the time so typically I just don’t buy them unless they are already at the right length.
Kids are so honest! Ha!!! Those pants look great :) You don’t look like you’ve gained weight. I gain weight equally everywhere while pregnant. I get jealous of all those people that just have a belly :) Oh well!
I love your combination of red and mint, such a great pairing for summer! It is so inspiring that you tailor your own clothes, it has given me a completely different outlook on shopping. The comments from your littles are always so cute!
I also need to learn how to hem pants (5 feet tall), but I’m really lucky, since I used to work in Nordstrom’s alternations shop, they are pretty good at fixing stuff for me.
I just found your blog…via pinterest. And you are so adorable, both your writing and your outfits. I just added you to my links list and will be checking back often. And by that I mean like every day. I need some wardrobe inspiration because at 20 weeks with #3 sweatpants anywhere but church is starting to seem acceptable. So please keep posting the way you dress your bump….so I can copy you.
Such a cute outfit! I love the mint shirt and shoes together paired with the red pants! Absolutely adorable!
