last weekend.

A few quick and unedited pictures from last weekend, where-in I got to play dress-up with my little sister Meghan, introduce her to Pike’s place, coo over her daughter and hold a reflector while Mr. photographed her.  It was even more fun fixing her hair, make-up, and getting her all dolled up for the photo shoots than it was when we were kids.  Maybe because it’s been so long since I had another girl around to do that with, you know besides Hannah, and she’s too young for make-up.  Also, I had a bit of a jealous sister attack staring at her rocking legs all weekend.  Why oh why did those skip me in the gene pool?

Seriously.

I’ve got so much more to say about it and some amazing pictures to share, but in all honesty, I kinda pulled a “hideous wife” last night, and went all ugly, beastly, sobbing pregnant woman on Mr.

Basically, I spent an hour weeping and blaming the poor guy for every little thing that has made me exhausted or annoyed for the past few weeks.

I hate myself so much when I do that.

Anyways, I’ve got to figure out how to make it up to him and pronto before he gets home from work.

How do you say I’m sorry in action form to a guy? (I’ve already apologized, but I feel like it’s not enough) It’s not like you can buy them flowers.  I swear, we’ve been married almost 9 years and I have yet to figure this out.  Any ideas?

  1. A good home cooked meal and a massage and or foot rub usually work for my guy. But it’s all about knowing his love language and how he likes to receive love.
Don’t worry, we all hate ourselves for the ugly cry that happens every now and then.

  2. I would say a nice dinner and … well … most guys like …. I am pretty sure that you know what I am trying to say ;) Also, since you seem like such an amazing wife most of the time and if he is as wonderful as you always say he is, I am fairly certain that he understands and has already totally forgiven you! Good luck and can’t wait to see the pics of your sister weekend – it looks so fun!!!

Bake him something magnificent. And maybe his favorite dinner too? That’s what I would do. I actually have some apologizing of my own to do, sometimes I make myself sick when I speak before thinking…but it kind of makes me feel better to know I’m not the only one.

Just breaks my heart that we do things like that & the men in our lives are so so good to us. More than I deserve, I’m sure. Your Mr. has probably allready forgiven you.

Pretty much the same way you made the baby will make up for anything you do out of pregnancy-induced insanity whilst waiting for said baby. Men are simple creatures in this regard, and isn’t it just divine?

I bet all it would take is being in a good mood today! Sometimes all they want is for us to be happy! So he’d be relieved a bit to see the mood better today! I have those days too. Nice to have a hubby that puts up with us :)

i am sure you feel bad for taking it out on your husband, but from what you’ve said before… he seems like the loving type of husband to understand. pregnancy hormones blaze and we just can’t control our crazy emotions! needless to say, a nice dinner and some lingerie are sure to make him smile! :)

First of all, blame everything on pregnancy hormones!! Works like a charm :) Men know that women can be emotional, so it’s all good :)

Cori, would you do any custom-made pieces? I’d like a chevron or awning skirt but my waist is an inch or so bigger than your largest size.

  22. I know the way to my husband’s heart is his stomach. I’d start by making a favorite dinner or sweet treat. Thankfully, mine is very understanding when it comes to pregnancy hormones!

And, wow, you and your sister look SO much alike! I’m sure you hear that all the time.

Ooh, Cori, I love the ikat print skirt on Meghan! Even with the red, which I personally tried to avoid all my life and am finally coming around to. You’d be proud — I even bought some red lipstick the other week and wore it to work and church. Congrats on opening your own shop!

  26. You two look like twins! Seriously, you are the one taking pictures, right? And the reason I am sure of that is that you said you held the reflector. Otherwise, you two are so much alike!

And I laughed at blame the hormones. He probably understands more than you know. I like the idea of a special meal. That always works on mine too.
