back in the big city.

A quick hello tonight on this lovely labor day evening.
I’m happy to be back in NYC for a few days for the IFBCon.
I’m staying in a charming little hotel in Soho, which also happens to be the oldest in New York. Most importantly it has an entire original brick wall in my room.  You should know that I sort of die for those kinds of things.  It makes it worth the hike up four flights of stairs at 7 months pregnant. (no elevator)  Thank goodness they brought my bag up for me, because let’s be real, that just wasn’t happening.
Many thanks to my sweet Mr. for staying home with the littles for the next couple days so I could come.  Kissing them goodbye at 4 am this morning was the only bitter part of this trip.  Also, it should be noted 6 am flights when you are this largely pregnant are not a good idea…

Wow! What a fun trip! I had to look up IFBCon to figure it out, but I finally got it! :) You’re so brave to go to the big city alone. I’m such a wimp about traveling by myself. You’re looking so cute and I can’t wait to see your sweet baby. I need to give you a call. I’m so bad at keeping in touch long distance, but you’re missed oh so much. You’re the best! Love ya! Be safe!

The hotel sounds incredibly fantastic (minus the lack of elevator)! I am a sucker for an exposed brick wall. Enjoy IFBCon; wish I could have attended this year!

HOW many flights of stairs?! That’s insane. Do that a few more times and you’ll be having the baby there. Ha. Wait a second, I haven’t noticed your new look before now either, like it a lot :)
