First of all, thank you all for Wednesday. Your comments, messages, emails; they meant the world to me, and my family. The world. I was talking to my sister Tashi and we were saying how wonderful people had been about Spread the Word. How kind and open and loving. I told her my heart felt so full. It inspired me, made me want to be a kinder more loving and tolerant person. So thank you, so so much.

I don’t mean to brag–okay never mind I do mean to brag– but, MY. BABY. Seriously, she’s like the most squishy kissable adorable little pink frog baby you ever saw. She’s so bright eyed and expressive. And she just started that baby “talking” phase where they discover that they can make noises that aren’t crying, and OH. MY. GOSH. it’s cute.
I’m totally ridiculously, smitten with this baby and I don’t care who knows it. I know it turns me into a cheese-ball, and I know I use that annoying “talking to a baby” voice way too much, but I don’t care. All I want to do is just smooch and nibble and cuddle and play with her all day long. And since I know all to well how fleeting this time is, I go ahead and do it.
We’re all a big sappy mess when it comes to this baby. The littles are completely obsessed with her. And I’m obsessed with how obsessed they are. Hannah fusses over her like a mother, “oh I think she needs a diaper change– I’ll change it! “I think she needs to eat– can I give her a bottle?!” “I think she’s tired–I’ll go rock her!” Ethan dotes on her non-stop, kissing her squishy cheeks, giving her Eskimo kisses, and saying “She’s so cute!” In his lispy little voice. And Carter, who is a tougher nut to crack, and often aloof, just melts around her.
So, so glad I get to be a mom again to this little monkey.
