Coming out to the coast for the last week has made me, I don’t know, really nostalgic I guess. I don’t know for where exactly. Seattle? Maybe. Or California. Or maybe somewhere I’ve never even been before. It’s a strange thing when you’ve spent most of your adult life moving around, you’re not really from anywhere anymore. I mean, I left California for college 12 years ago and never went back. To live anyway. I didn’t really intend for that to happen, but life you know, it happens. People ask me where I’m from and I sort of blank. “Well, I grew up in California, so I guess I’m from there. Went to college in Idaho, lived in Kansas, then Idaho again, then Utah, then Arizona, then Washington, then Arizona again, and now Utah… again.” Yikes. We’re gypsies.
But back to our week on the coast. It’s really been so perfect. Lots of coastal things, which are my favorite. No seriously, though. You should see my house. Coastal things are my favorite. I feel like it’s silly to say it, because everyone loves the ocean, but I really love the ocean. It’s good for my soul. I’m not going to lie and say this week has been relaxing, because taking a trip with four kids is a whole lot of work (like whoa). But getting away from the everyday, and doing fun things and not having a schedule has been really really good for all of us. And now I’m ready for the littles to go back to school. ;-)
Happy Monday Everyone!

My husband moved around quite a lot as a kid and at point in time each of my grandparents thought he was from a different place. And I still struggle with calling Maryland home even though I grew up in New York, but haven’t lived there since 2001!

Such a great casual look!
Cute look. I know how you feel about saying where you are from, rather I feel that way when people ask me where I was born and what nationality I am. It’s a bit of a story and I usually feel weird going into details, especially if they just want a straight answer.

Love those mint accessories. I have no colored shoes (well, besides leopard and navy…) and I am thinking I need some.
I think it is awesome that you had the opportunity to live in different parts of the country in your younger years. Kinda jealous. Must have really helped you grow as a person.
I can relate to not knowing where you’re really from. It’s always a trick question. Do I say where I grew up, but haven’t lived in over 20 years, the last place I lived, somewhere in between. It depend on the day. Cute pictures. :) I love the ocean, too.
