Hey guys! How was your weekend? Ours was crazy busy but good. We took all the ducklings to the movies Friday night and Ava actually sat through it. All I had to do was let her stuff her chubby little cheeks full of popcorn and candy the entire time and she was happy as a clam, and quiet, I know I know, mother of the year. But we got through the whole movie and I didn’t have to take her out at all. It was epic. Speaking of epic, that Seahawks win was BANANAS! Crazy, crazy.
Also, I’d like to note that the new Downton Abbey season has officially started… for everyone in the UK. Which means I am officially jealous of everyone in the UK. If there is a way to watch season five before January, pretty please spill the beans.
Moving on. This is my second look with this amaze-balls striped dress. You can click here to see look #1. I don’t think I mentioned this the other day, but this dress is insanely comfortable and not too clingy, if you know what I mean. I won’t wear a knit dress if I feel like it shows every little bump and lump, so I was happy that this dress is flattering but not too fitted. For this look, I threw on a denim jacket, red ballet flats and a neck scarf. Add in a bold red lip and it just feels very French to me, oui, oui? I’ not sure why but I’ve always had a soft spot for all things French. I wore a beret to school in 5th grade for crying out loud (I know, nerd.) and it was like a for reals beret and I wore it like those French artists in paintings with the twirly mustaches, all tipped and such (nerd on a whole different level)… Taking French in college certainly didn’t lesson my affection, and anytime I see red with black and white stripes it feels very French to me and I just can’t resist. I don’t know why that is, but there you go.
Happy Monday everyone!
à bientôt!
stay tuned for look number 3…
I love how you turned a chic dress into casual chic by adding a denim jacket. Those flats are adorable and bring in some fun.

This is so cute. I wish this dress wouldn’t be too short on me. I’m quite a bit taller than you and like to keep the length to at least mid-knee. Anyway, I love the posts on versatility and I’d love to see more in the future!
I love it. Very Parisian chic! Especially the red lip and red shoes!
you look effortless!
