I don’t know why, but this outfit felt very 60’s classic to me.  This top reminded me of Jackie O and I knew it would pair so perfectly with my favorite coat and new Kate Spade bag, so of course I bought it immediately.   I loooove the window pane pattern and it’s extra breezy and silky soft, it feels great on and will be perfect in the Caribbean next week when we leave for our vacation.  I’m itching for that getaway like whoa…

I’ve been mentally packing my bags for the last month so I’m pretty stoked that it’s finally getting close enough to start the actual packing process.  I used to be a terrible packer.  Always over packed/under prepared.  But now, I’m basically a suitcase ninja.  I ordered (yet another) new bathing suit today (it’s mint, eek!) and I can’t wait to wear it.  (Even though bathing suit shopping is kind of a nightmare when you’re working around a teeny-tiny chest like mine…)  Also, I know some of you were looking for some more affordable bathing suit options after my last swim wear post, and while I’ll always recommend investing in a good bathing suit, (I think it’s better to have one really really great piece that fits and you love, then 4 that you feel just meh about)  I did happen to find the literal jackpot of affordable swimwear.  I mean designer suits at 70% off… Shop here.  This one and this one are my favorites.

(FYI- this bag is a much more orangey-red than it looks in the product pictures on Kate Spade’s website, so if you are looking for a true red, be warned.  It just so happens that this orangey red is my all-time favorite so it was a happy coincidence.)
