Two of my sisters came to visit this week, which means I’m getting lots of late night talks, shopping, back rubs, and my hair played with. Sisters. They are the Lord’s way of making up for all the other not-so-pleasant things about being a woman. (i.e. periods, morning sickness, water retention, etc…)
People ask me all the time what they should do when they come to Seattle. I have a long, long list of wonderful “can’t misses,” but a visit to Alki beach and a walk on the waterfront (and an ice cream cone, of course) is always on the top of it.
If Santa Cruz and the Puget Sound had a baby it would be Alki. No wonder it’s a favorite.

Baby girl looks so pleased with her cone in the first shot. Such a sweet pic.

You guys are so cute!
Shall We Sasa
love this! Love the flannel and bag! Such a cute “beach day” inspired look! Perfect for those cool beach days!
Born and raised in West Seattle, this makes my heart smile. Alki is wonderful, my husband is lucky that his office is on it (with incredible views).
Love that top!
what a dream! I want to move to West Seattle. All those beach houses make my coastal loving heart sing!
West Seattle is the only place I’ll ever live (we don’t live on the beach, but there are lots of lovely neighborhoods). It has Alki, 10 minutes to downtown (not at peak traffic of course), 15 minutes to the airport, etc. Great place to raise a family :) Though, I’m sure you are sick of moving!
Hi Cori!
I’ve been reading your blog for about two years now and I would love to see your list of “can’t misses!” I’m visiting Seattle for the first time on July 4th weekend for a dear friend’s wedding… and don’t know where to start as I begin planning the trip. Please do share!
