I really love linen this time of year. I snagged this pair of linen trousers last weekend when I popped into J.Crew on my way to the Nordstrom sale. The fit is so good and the belt loops are really lovely. (they’re covered here, because you just don’t tuck in a shirt hem that pretty) Anyway, these pants have been on repeat since I brought them home.
Would you like to know a trick? I never hem anything until I’ve washed it at least 3 times (otherwise it’s a disaster with over shrinking, especially natural fabrics like linen and cotton…) but I hate waiting to wear new pieces until I’ve washed them a few times. So what do I do with pants that are too long? I simply tuck the bottoms up and in and iron them then keep them in place with fashion tape until I’m ready to hem. (I did a bit of a sloppy job here, whoops) but usually it works like a charm. ;-)
