If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, then you already know that I don’t have any trouble incorporating a little sparkle into my everyday wardrobe–no special occasion required– but even if I wasn’t comfortable rocking sequins on the daily, this festive time of year gives me all the excuse I need. I love finding ways to incorporate sequins and sparkles into my outfits this time of year whether it’s for a holiday party or just a dinner out with my husband.
One of my favorite ways to wear sequins is to pair them with something that will really add contrast, like a chunky sweater. This turtleneck sweater is perfect for adding texture and keeping the look grounded and from feeling over-the-top dressy. Perfect for a daytime holiday get together… A little business on top, party on the bottom.
Speaking of party. I’m so excited to announce that our brand new boutique is open today! This has been in the works for awhile now, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you. We’ll be carrying my own unique designs again (very soon) as well as some pieces carefully curated just for you. I’m most excited because creating a boutique means I can offer you more pretty pieces than ever before at more approachable price points. Stay tuned because we’ll have lots more lovely new arrivals in later this week. Current favorites: this sequin skirt (obvs), this buffalo check scarf, and this amazing bordeaux scuba skirt.
Head on over and check out Sixth & Alder, and let me what you think!
Happy Monday everyone!
