On Christmas morning, the very first thing we do is come down stairs and look at our stockings. We don’t jump right into presents; I never want my kids to take for granted all they have and are getting so we take our time and enjoy each gift. That way, we really appreciate them. The stocking stuffers are the things we take the longest on. My husband’s Grandmother knit us all beautiful matching stockings, they’ve always been so special, and even more so now that she’s passed away. I love filling those stocking with little surprises for my family, and sometimes I think stocking stuffers are my favorite things to buy.
I almost always find a little toy, and a book for each of them, and then I love adding in a little something more, like a cozy hat, a pair of mittens, some cute socks, maybe a tie for the boys, or a pretty headband for the girls. One of my favorite places to pick up little stocking stuffer surprises for the kids (and for Craig) is J.Crew Factory. I feel like they design children’s clothing and accessories with the whimsy of childhood in mind, and I love the way their pieces seem to somehow capture the magic that is my children’s personality and imagination. They aren’t just kids clothes…
But back to stocking stuffers.
For Craig, I like to find a good tie, ….
And for me, I usually throw hints at a new winter hat, a pair of cozy socks, some slippers, and a new cocoa mug.

How are you stuffing your stockings?

That sweater is beautiful! I have read the reviews and many have not been very positive, experienced excessive pilling. How has yours held up? Do you have any secrets to combat pulling?
*pilling? Auto correct gets me every time!
Hi Serah!
I haven’t had any trouble with pilling and I have it in two colors. I had wash them cold (with Woolite) and lay flat (on a rack) to dry. I have used a razor to remove pilling in the past on other sweaters, but I haven’t had a bit of trouble with these ones… Hope this helps!
Cute outfit :) For kids stockings this year, I’m putting some personal size toiletry things, and they are getting a little toiletry bag as a present. I always like to try to do one practical thing for Christmas. Other than that, they are getting some small toys and food. My daughter is getting a little sewing kit and measuring tape. I try to stay away from the junky stocking stuffer toys that just get thrown out.
