This month we are focusing on ideas for making January awesome instead of what it usually is, the most depressing month of the year…
Today’s tip is a simple one:
Wear pink.
Pink is the power color of women. It doesn’t have to be a tacky barbie pink either to make you feel fab. One of Pantone’s colors of the year this year is Rose Quartz, and I couldn’t be happier about it. In fact, I’d like to stand up and do a slow clap because my goodness, that soft blushy pink is one of my favorite colors, especially to wear… it’s such a lovely classy shade.
I went through a phase several years ago where it felt like half my closet was this soft pink, and then suddenly not much of it all all, but I’ve been firmly root back in the color and loving every minute of it. It’s so flattering and fresh, goes with most skin types and it looks good paired with (almost) anything. This sweater is my favorite purchase I’ve made in the last few months, and I’ve worn it at least 3-4 times since I brought it home a couple weeks ago. I love the way it pairs perfectly with our Sixth&Alder black sequin skirt (which just went on sale today). Black and blush pink has always been one of my favorite color schemes.
So why not give pink a try this month?
I mean, Audrey Hepburn said that she “believes in pink.”
And if it’s good enough for Audrey, it’s good enough for me.
